Moratu Vidyalaya win by eight runs

Moratu Vidyalaya beat Sri Sumangala College, Panadura by eight runs in their inter-school nineteenth limited overs cricket match worked off at Tyronne Fernando Stadium, Moratuwa. With this victory Vidyalians have recorded ten victories while Sumangalians seven. Two Sumangala matches were abounded.

Taking the first lease Vidyalians were all out for 206 runs with Kanishka Prabath making the top score 45 runs while Uditha Gunatillake 44, Ishan Peiris 42 and Sanka Ramesh 20. Charuka Nadeeshan claimed 3 for 33 for the visitors.

In reply Sumangalians were all out for 198 runs with Geeth Sanjaya 52 and Skipper Aruna Dharmasena 48. Vidyalian Skipper Sanka Ramesh took 3 for 50.

Moratu Vidyalaya - 206 in 43.4 overs - Ishan Peiris 42, Uditha Gunatilleke 44, Sanka Ramesh 20, Kanishka Prabath 45, Subitha Fernando 2/33, Charuka Nadeeshan 3/33, Asanka Chamara 2/39.

Sri Sumangala - 198 in 48.1 overs - Geeth Sanjaya 52, Aruna Dharmasena 48, Iresh Chamara 2/25, Shanaka Rosha 2/36, Sanka Ramesh 3/50.
