Museum thefts: CID takes over probe

The Criminal Investigation Department had taken over investigations into the thefts at the Colombo National Museum on Friday night. Investigators recorded evidence from over 30 persons in connection with the thefts, Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said yesterday.

According to investigators, several valuable items including gold coins had been stolen.

“We will be able to arrest the suspects soon,” the Police said.
