OpenArc produces the only A+ BIT project in 2011

As a pioneer in BIT education in Sri Lanka with over two decades of experience, OpenArc has produced the best results in BIT examinations for many years. In 2011, OpenArc were extremely proud of the fact that, among their many students with high ranked BIT projects, Yeheshan de Silva's project, earned the privilege to be the only A+ project in the country.

“My main concern while doing BIT was the final year project. But thanks to OpenArc lecturers I received the proper guidance and mentoring needed to complete the project with ease and gain an A+ in the process. The industry exposure I received while studying was paramount both in the success of my project and in my career", said Yeheshan de Silva (Second Class lower - 2011).

Current research shows that many students who have sat for their BIT examinations have passed all examinations but have not yet completed their final projects. This is mainly due to the fact that they either were unable to find and select a project or the fact that they did not receive the proper guidance that they needed.

OpenArc prides itself in being the only Industrial Campus in the country, which provides its students with in-house projects for BIT. OpenArc students have the privilege of having industry experts and practitioners guide them in their projects and also gain valuable industry exposure.

OSM has saved millions of foreign exchange to the country by developing world class software and has over 75% of the market share in merchant banking and leasing software, with over 30 leading banks and financial institutions in the country as their clients.

With their rising number of clients and projects, OSM is continuously in need of new recruits.

Students of OSBT who have completed or are currently following BIT are always given first preference when selecting their new recruits, thus providing students with job opportunities, even while studying for their BIT examinations.
