Promoting North East tourism

Jaufer briefed the President FCCISL on the proposals made by the
Chamber to uplift the tourism industry in the North and the East.
Among the proposals made were creating awareness among people in the
tourism areas on the value of the industry, educating the hotel staff on
various aspects of the leisure industry and providing necessary
infrastructure for tourism in the areas lagging behind due to the
unsettled conditions prevailed during the last 30 years.
Mallimarachchi expressing his satisfaction on the progress made by
the Chamber assured his fullest support for the implementation of
proposed projects. |
