A collective effort from both bat and ball paved the way for Ananda College (232 all out ) record their third consecutive limited over victory by 21 runs over Nalanda College ( 211 all out ) in the 38th Ananda - Nalanda annual 50 over limited encounter at SSC yesterday.

Joes take on Bens in under-19 cager final today

St. Joseph's College, Maradana will meet St. Benedict's College, Kotahena in the 2011 under-19 All Island 'A' division Basketball Championship final at the Royal College basketball court, Reid Avenue today evening. The organizers, Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association wasnot able to conclude the tournament last year due to some protests and completed the semi finals yesterday at the Royal courts.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh in Asia Cup opener

Pakistan posted a 21-run victory over Bangladesh in the opening match of the Asia Cup one-day tournament in Dhaka on Sunday. Mohammad Hafeez (89 and 2-40) put in an impressive all-round performance as Pakistan bowled Bangladesh out for 241 after posting 262-8 in the day-night match.
