Pasikuda gets Rs 185 m Lakdiyatha facility

Hayleys group in collaboration with India's Veolia Water company has commissioned a central sewage and waste-water treatment plant for the National Holiday Resort in Pasikuda. The Rs 185 million Lakdiyatha Pasikuda facility will be operated for 20 years by Veolia Water, India and Puritas Pvt Ltd ,a subsidiary of Hayleys group.

This would be the first ever public-private partnership project in the waste-water infrastructure sector in Sri Lanka. This is a major milestone for Veolia Water India in Sri Lanka, we were awarded this project to build and operate the sewage treatment plant of the National Holiday Resort in Passikuda, a new tourist area in the Eastern coast.

It is the first ever PPP contract in the field of infrastructure in Sri Lanka.
