Envoy spells out Lanka’s development process

Sri Lankan Ambassador to Germany Sarath Kongahage briefed German Foreign Ministry State Secretary Dr Emily Haber about the developments in line with the reconciliation, reconstruction and rehabilitation process in the post conflict period of Sri Lanka.

Kongahage met Dr Haber at the Federal German Foreign Office recently.

The ambassador also discussed the close cooperation between Germany and Sri Lanka and emphasised the need to expand relations into wider cooperation.

The state secretary said she looks forward to work with him to enhance ties between Sri Lanka and Germany.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Kongahage also met German Federal Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel at the Federal Chancery.
