People’s Bank Borella launches Vanitha Vasana 2012

The People's Bank branch Borella known as Golden Jubilee branch will celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 by launching its popular Vanitha Vasana 2012, Manager Champa Alwis said. She said the branch was declared as a model unit when the People's Bank celebrated its 50th anniversary recently and it is significant that the branch work from 8 am to 8 pm in all 365 days of the year.

She said there are lot of women customers in that area in different levels mostly low income groups doing small businesses. They well manage their accounts and the percentage of settling the loans is very high. The branch has Rs 8 million target for Vanitha Vasana this year and has invited prominent figures to participate at this event. Account holders are entitle to enter Jaya Sri raffle draw end of the month apart from Vanitha Vasana raffle draw.

The branch has all facilities to do international trade including safety lockers
