Police transfers
Police Headquarters yesterday, announced the
transfer of a number of police officials, including Senior Deputy
Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs),
Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) and Superintends of Police (SPs)
with immediate effect, due to service requirements.

Youths arrested with gajamuthu
Two youths were arrested with eight gajamuthu at
Mihintale on Thursday. Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said that
the Mihintale Police had arrested the two suspects near the
Mahakanadarawa tank. One suspect was a jailer at the Trincomalee
remand prison.

Public help sought to trace missing woman
Police have sought public information to trace
Navurpichchai Suhaina, 18, of Thakvanagar, Muttur 01 who is reported
missing from her home since January 10. She is the wife of Sahul
Hameed Anishdeen Imthiaz of the same address. She is fat and has
long hair with a burn mark on her left hand.
