Ratnam rout Renown

E.B. Channa and J.B.R. Lasantha netted two goals each to give Ratnam
SC a victory of 4-0 against Renown SC in the Dialog Champions League
stage 19 match that worked off at City Football Complex on Saturday. The
victory gave them another two points to secure their top position in the
points table.
Channa penetrated the opponent goal area early in the sixth minute
and Lasantha followed him three minutes later. Channa booted his second
goal seven minutes before the first half. Lasantha added the fourth goal
for his team with a beauty towards the end of the game.
Air Force fly high
Sri Lanka Air Force moved ahead when they defeated Java Lane by 2-0
at Baddegana Football Complex on Sunday. I.H.K. Ishan wasted no time to
score the first goal in the very first minute of the game and P.J.
Chaminda added the second goal for his team just before the final
whistle.
Sailors win
L.A.P. Lakshitha with his beauty in the 36th minute helped Navy SC to
defeat Sri Lanka Police SC by 1-0 to remain in the second position in
the points table with 31 points. The match was played at City Football
Complex on the same day.
Ramees saves Blue Star
M.H.M. Ramees of Blue Star SC scored the solitary goal in the match
against New Young’s SC to overcome their opponents by 1-0 at Vernon
Fernando Stadium, Kalutara in another encounter on Sunday. It was the
81st minute of the game which decided their fate.
Bonus for Don Bosco
Don Bosco moved ahead of Renown SC by one point in a drawn game with
Nandimiththra SC at the home ground in Negambo.
Earlier, Don Bosco were positioned at the same level with Renown with
both teams having 27 points. The drawn game with Nandimiththra allowed
them to reach 28 points to secure third place in the tournament.
