NCC sixth education tour to India

The National Craft Council(NCC) has organized the sixth education tour to India for this year, the National Craft Council a spokesman said. Eighteen national level handcraft winners who presented their craft creations at the 2010 and 2011 National Handicraft Exhibitions held at the BMICH will participate in this tour. According to the concept of National Craft Council chairman Buddhi Keerthisena,educational tours of this nature have been taking place since 2007. M M Swarnalatha Herath, K P Nishantha Ruwan Ariyawansa, H M Dharmadasa, H M Lasantha Udaya Kumara, M Dudley Silva Jayaratna, B E M Wijesundara, G G Nandawathi, B A Ruwan Samantha, Roshan Susantha Wijesinghe, R M K Uditha Piyasamara Ratnayake, W A Ranuka Prasad Wijesinghe, G W Suwarna Jayanthi, P Wijeratna, M G Adeesha Chaturanga, P M Chaminda Priyasad De Silva, G W Anura Jayantha, I T K Rajakaruna and Y N P Yapage have been selected for this education tour.

Deputy Director (Development) Chandramali Liyanage, Assistance Director Sarath Gunathilake will also accompany them on this tour.
