Senaka Ramesh 5 for 23

Vidyalian star allrounder and skipper Sanka Ramesh with a superb bowling spell of 5 for 23 ripped through the formidable batting line up of Sri Devananda Vidyalaya, Ambalangoda and guided them to an innings and five runs win. The match ending at 1.45 pm in their inter-school under 19 tournament cricket match conducted at Moratuwa.

Resuming at 159 for 3 on day two Vidyalians were all out for 245 runs with Janitha Nimesh completing a well deserved 53 runs and Kanishka Prabath contributing 41 runs. Gihan Madushanka excelled with the ball for Devans with 4 for 47.

In their second essay visitors were skittled out for a paltry 96 runs to enable Vidyalians to register their second successive outright win for the season.

Sri Devananda Vidyalaya - 144 and 96 - Sithara Madushanka 25, Akil de Silva 16, Sanka Ramesh 5/23, Iresh Chamara 2/40, Zafran Preena 2/24. Moratu Vidyalaya - 159/3 overnight all out 245 - (Janitha Nimesh 53, Kanishka Prabath 41, Sanka Ramesh 19, Gihan Madushanka 4/47, Gihan Anjana 2/22)
