Sebastianites hold Thurstan to a draw

St Sebastian's College, Moratuwa drew with Thurstan College, Colombo in their rain hit under 19 inter-school cricket match worked off at Colombo. In reply to Sebs total of 26 runs when rain stopped play at 4.30 p.m on day two Thurstanites were 165 for 2 with Minhaj Jaleel unbeaten on 86 runs which included thirteen fours and Hashan Wanigasinghe contributed 40 runs.

Sebs score was propped up by a brilliant knock of 109 runs by Arishka Fernando with Seventeen fours and he associated in a third wicket partnership of 135 runs with Sangeeth Cooray who scored 66 runs with ten hits to the rope. Sajith Perera has the most successful bowler for Thsurstanites with 5 for 82.

Chief scores: St. Sebastians - 261 Avishka Fernando 109, Sangeeth Cooray 66, Anushka Perera 22 Achintha Kalpana 2/85, Sajith Perera 5/82.

Thustan College 165/2 Minhaj Jaleel 86 n/o, Hashan Wanigasinghe 40.
