Untimely end to youth's Korean dream

A Lankan youth faced an untimely death at the age of 26 in Korea.
The victim was R.M. Chanaka Jeewan Kumara of Periyakadunelawa,
Ibbagamuwa who died under tragic circumstances in an accident that
occurred while he was working in a factory in Korea.
He had been dreaming of doing a job in Korea for a long time and was
able to pass the Korean language proficiency test too. His dream came
true a year ago and he left for Korea on October 2010.
Destiny took its toll on December 15 while he was working in the
factory, a huge iron rod crashed on to his head causing severe injuries.
He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Chanaka's body was flown to Sri Lanka on December 22. His father,
mother and younger sister are still grieving over his untimely death.
