Peace and freedom to achieve goals - Minister Ranawaka

Minister Champika Ranawaka

This year is a challenging one for everyone. There is more peace and freedom in the country than in the past years to achieve our aims, said Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka.

Sri Lankans never shirked their responsibilities even when they were suffering under terrorism. Development was proceeding slowly in the past. Currently all development programmes are being accelerated. Sri Lanka is on a fast track towards development, he said. The minister was addressing his staff members of the Power and Energy Ministry for the New Year.

All members of the staff took an oath to provide electricity for the whole country before the end of this year.
