Workshop on wildlife photography

The Institute of Sri Lankan Photographers will hold the Nature Camp 2012, a workshop on wildlife on February 3, 4 and 5, 2012 in the Yala National Park.

The photographers will also be able to participate in the workshop while staying in camps and bungalows in Yala during these three days. Camping tents, meals and other facilities will be provided by the Institute of Sri Lankan Photographers.

The workshop will have the resource contribution of veteran award winning photographers such as Rukshan Jayawardena, Ranjith de Silva and Aruna Kirthisinghe. The participants will be able to learn the history of the sanctuary and gather information about wild animals and the real life experience of retired Yala Park wardens, Desmond White, Shirley Perera and Edmond Wilson.

The Institute of Sri Lankan Photographers requests those interested to forward their applications before December 31.

Two digital cameras sponsored by Millers Limited will be awarded to two lucky winners selected by a lottery draw at the workshop.

Applications for the workshop are available at all colour laboratories. Visit www.islpsrilanka.com for details.
