ComBank tops turnover

The Colombo equity market continued with its winning streak for the second consecutive day in the week. ASI jumped by 78.3 points (+1.30%) to close at 6,093.39 while liquid MPI increased by 46.53 points (+0.89%) to end at 6,093.39.

Market turnover stood at Rs.550.4mn.

Commercial Bank Plc topped the turnover at Rs 213.2mn followed by Colombo Land & Development Plc (Rs 36.5mn) and Nestle Plc (Rs 27.6mn). Moreover Commercial Bank Plc posted three crossings of 1.9mn shares at a price of Rs 100.00.

In the meantime retails stocks such as HVA Foods Plc, PC house Plc and SMB Leasings Plc traded actively during the day.

Foreign participation stood at 26.2% of the total market activity and at the end of the day foreign investors were the net sellers with a net foreign outflow of Rs 212.9mn. Lanka Securities Research
