Primary school concert of Mahamaya Girls Kandy

Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy had their primary school concerts under the directions of the Principal Indra Withanachchi at the school auditorium recently. All the students from Grade 1 to Grade 5 participated in this concert in different roles.

The Grade 2(B) class performing a dance item to the song Konda Namagena, from left Tharushi, Vihandi, Senethi, Senuji, Buddhini, Oneli, Enuri and Nethmi.

Grade 5(A) class performing a Pooja Dance from left Anjana, Boabani, Gangani, (half hidden) Yasara and Pumie.

Hark the angels sing on high

It's the season of carols and the St Bridget's Convent choir, held their carol service recently at their auditorium - the theme being 'Hark the Angels sing on high'. The choir is known to maintain standards that are high and also selective as to where and when they sing. They of late sang at the choir festival organized by the Catholic priests at BMICH. Here the choir is directed by Priyanthi Seneviratne, the choir leader is Shanelle Wijewardene and the Deputy leader is Shanika de Silva.
