Moving towards a Digital Era

The time is ripe to bid adieu to the tedious learning methods that we employ. As the world evolving in to the digital age, using obsolete methods to feed students with study content remains a mockery. Now is the time to move in to the era of digital note-books. With the hope of spurring the change, Dell INC has come up with a novel solution to take students to the digital era.

Dell’s new Connected Classroom Solution hopes to provide schools and teachers with the necessary technology and understanding that are needed to transform the traditional classroom in to an environment in which students can be nurtured and prepared for life in the digital age. New technologies enable teachers to more effectively interact with students and individualise instruction with easy access to rich and diverse digital content.

Speaking at the Press Conference, the Country Manager for Dell Sri Lanka, Shermal Jayathilaka noted, “Dell’s Connected Classroom has been welcomed by schools around the world as a means to connect students and teachers through technology and promote collaboration both inside and away from the classroom. Dell is placing the needs of students and teachers at the heart of the learning environment by providing the tools that teachers need to plan and deliver effective lessons.”

The solution arms the students with necessary acumen and expertise that are needed to survive in the digital age.

It provides the students with digital resources and tools which they need to collaborate within the classroom. Speaking at the press conference, head of Education Practice, Dell South Asia and Korea, Rani Buchmorethe noted, “Global Education is the ultimate goal and school administrators need to make considered decision when it comes to technology. By combining our vision for education with our advanced technology, we believe that schools and universities will be better placed to prepare students to survive in the digital age.”

Dell Connected Classroom solutions are available through Softlogic Information Technolgies (PVT) Ltd.
