Anchor Fonterra 125 Anniversary on jetliner

Anchor, Fonterra’s flagship Brand celebrates its 125th anniversary
this year. To mark this milestone Anchor will be launching a competition
in January 2012 to enable 125 local provincial schools, an opportunity
to compete and win school equipment and learning materials. This was
noted at a press conference held in Colombo last week.
This competition will encourage children from across the country
through many outlets in writing, drawing and designing. This will touch
the lives of over 25,000 children from the winning schools where they
benefit from a variety of great education prizes in line with Anchor’s
efforts to support and encourage each and every child to become an
achiever.
Fonterra Brands Lanka Managing Director Achyut Kasireddy said,
“Anchor is now in the existence of 125 years. It’s more than a life
time. There are two main reasons for successes of this brand, they are
trusted very high standard quality and consumer relevant innovations.
Anchor products are made from high quality milk collected from cows from
the lush green pastures of New Zealand.
There are over 50 tests conducted through the supply chain which is
far higher than industry standards. This is the assurance we give our
consumers who have built their trust in Anchor as their nutritional
partner of gold standard quality. Fonterra is a dairy cooperative, our
shareholders are our suppliers, he said.
Kasireddy said, “It is this Gold standard nutrition which Anchor has
provided to millions of families over many generations for the past 125
years. We will continue delighting consumers with our high quality
Anchor milk in a range of products suited for different consumer needs.
Through our many initiatives we will continue to inspire and support
children’s development and look forward to enrich the lives of many more
families in the next 125 years or more,” he said. |
