Foreign exposure for Lankan paddlers and cagers

Sri Lanka's table tennis players and basketball players will get the much needed foreign exposure next year when they tour Germany to play matches against teams from that country.

The Sri Lankan paddlers who will play in the World Championship in Dortmund, Germany from March 26 to April 1 next year will play against 10 leading club teams from March 16 to 25 which will stand them in good stead for the World Championships.

The Lankan team will consist of three men's and three women's players.

The tour is being organized by the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka in collaboration with Asian-German Sports Exchange Programme.

The women's basketball team will also tour Germany from May 20 to June 10, 2012.

The team comprising 12 players will play 10 matches in Germany and also two games in Luxembourg.

The Sri Lanka Under-20 men's basketball team will also tour Germany from June 10 to 30, 2012.

The team comprising 12 players will play 10 matches during the tour which has been arranged by the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation in collaboration with AGSEP.
