Warm welcome for tourists

Nearly a hundred tourists from Hikkaduwa have come on a tour and goodwill visit to Delft. They were welcomed by the Navy personal and the officers working at Delft AGAs office. They were divided into groups of 20 and taken as guests by the local leaders to their homes.

They were shown the ancient Dutch Fort, the coral stones built as fence to demarcate the boundaries and the Delft ponies that gallop in herds.

The visitors wined and dined with their hosts and sowed the seeds of amity in the hospitable land of Delft.
