GCE (OL) exam begins today

The GCE (OL) examination will begin today in 3921 centres in the country.

Commissioner General of Examinations, Anura Edirisinghe said that compared to last year, the number of candidates has increased by 22,911 this year. This year 385,000 school candidates and 146,000 private candidates are sitting the examination.

Meanwhile, the Education ministry has organized an Aseerwada Pooja to bless all students sitting the examination at the Gangarama temple, Hunupitiya.
