Police nab chain snatcher near Kalutara Bodhiya

Kalutara Police nabbed a chain snatcher operating near the Colombo bus stand close to the Kalutara Bodhiya on Thursday noon.

The suspect had snatched a chain worth Rs 38,000 from a female near the bus stand and ran away, the Police said. The Police arrested the suspect from Vilegoda area in Kalutara following her complaint by using the information given by her about the suspect. The gold chain was also recovered from the suspect’s possession and was returned to the victim.
