APAMT Congress concludes

Promoting Health through Sustainable Chemical and Drug Safety
Initiatives was the theme of the 10th Congress of the Asia Pacific
Association of Medical Toxicology (APAMT) held in Penang, Malaysia
recently.
Nearly 200 delegates from 23 countries in Asia, Europe, Australasia,
Middle East and USA participated in the congress.
Several Sri Lankan scientists presented papers.
They include Prof. Ravindra Fernando, a past president of the APAMT,
Dr. Indika Gawarammana, Dr. Pradeed Jayawardena, Dr. Shaluka Jayamanne,
Dr. Sudheera Jayasinghe, Dr. Shanha de Silva, Dr. Kalana Maduwage, Dr.
Kosala Weerakoon, Dr. Anjana Silva, Kithsiri Jayasekera, Seyed Shahmy,
Chathura Palangasinghe, Vidana Pathiranga, Fahim Cader and Tharaka
Dileep.
The 11th Congress of the Asia Pacific Association of Medical
Toxicology will be held in Hong Kong next November.
