More raids to nab errant traders Atapattu Bandara

Co-operative and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando has directed Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) officials to increase the raids during the festive season to ensure consumer protection.

He instructed CAA chairman Rumi Marzook to crackdown on fraudulent traders in private and state-owned institutions.

Some traders increase the prices of goods during the festive season as goods are in demand during this period.
