Sudheera stars at Long Jump

Sudheera Nilanga, a talented athlete who represents Sri Lanka Air Force, proved his excellence at the recently concluded 23rd national Youth Sports Festival when he cleared 7.45 metres in the mens long jump, setting a new record.

He was the most outstanding sportsman at the 2008 all-island school games and with that achievement, he qualified for the South Asian Junior Athletic Championship. In 2009, he won the silver medal for long jump at the national Sports Festival, gold medal at the national defence services games and gold medal at the 2010 Junior National Athletic Meet
