STC, HP to provide computers

The State Trading Corporation(STC) will provide computers for all Sri
Lankans jointly with HP Lanka. STC Chairman Pradeep Gunawardena said at
a press conference held at Ramada Hotel on Tuesday.
This special scheme was launched as per the state policy to promote
computer literacy, by providing them HP computers with the world
renowned Intel Processors. An easy payment scheme is available with
concessionary interest rates.
Five models of HP brand desktops and lap tops will also be introduced
to Sri Lanka under this scheme with a three year warranty by HP. The
minimum monthly payment for a computer with special inputs by HP Lanka
will be Rs 2,341.
Under this scheme, three models of laptops will be on offer, with one
of them being the HP-431, which has a 512 MB dedicated video memory and
every lap top purchase will give the buyer the free membership of HP
e-club. All buyers can receive the Microsoft Windows 7 Starter and
Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus ,even without the operating
system, and the STC will grant a free Microsoft Security Essential Virus
Guard with life validity. Also all buyers are entitled to special
discounts to buy Micromax brand phones from any branch of STC, Max
Durakathana pvt Ltd and Cellcity Dialogue Service centres islandwide. |
