Another boutique hotel for Hikkaduwa

Anudan Holdings Pvt Ltd will construct a five star family boutique
hotel (Lavanga Resort and Spa) in Hikkaduwa with an investment of Rs 320
million in the wake of the booming tourism market in the country.

The company has already signed an agreement with BoI to initiate the
construction. Lavanga Resort and Spa Managing Director Daniel Frydman
told Daily News Business that the construction of this boutique hotel
will start soon and it will completed within the next 14 months. This
five star boutique hotel project will generate more than 45 jobs for Sri
Lankans initially. The hotel will be built at a location with scenic
beauty on the Patuwatha beach in Hikkaduwa. The Lavanga Resort and Spa
will be constructed in an environmental-friendly manner with solar power
and rain water systems.
He said the new hotel will comprise 18 rooms including family rooms.
In addition to that the boutique hotel has tennis court, two swimming
pools, library, three restaurants, 160 seat wedding hall, a rooftop
night spot called the Sky Bar with five star international cuisine to be
prepared by Australian chefs.
"Our plan is to provide spacious family accommodation with facilities
for all. We hope to be among the leading brands in the leisure sector of
the country with unmatched quality and services," he said. |
