Stars in action at English Premier League
SAMAHA ISMATH ALI
The English Premier League treasures within it a barricade of
talented players who are worthy of mention, players who have performed
so well that they have been chosen to represent their National sides.
This section focuses on the best among the best of the English Premier
League.
Tim Cahill
Tim Cahill is an Australian national player, and has been playing for
Everton since July 2004, after signing a four-year contract with the
side. He plays as an attacking midfielder, but also plays as striker on
several occasions, and captains the side on the absence of Captain Phil
Neville.
He is well known for his adept heading ability, as his headers are
rather indescribable and are amazing to simply look at. Another
astonishing feature of his is his remarkable leaps despite being a
person of average height. He enjoyed his youth playing football and
played for the English side Millwall, after shifting from Australia to
England. He has many cousins as well as nephews who play Rugby for New
Zealand and Auckland, and this proves his sports background.
He is a most ardent Everton 'Toffee', as he has indebted his services
to the club through the years. Manager David Moyes has no plans of
selling the pro at any cost, as he feels it would be an overall loss for
his side!
Louis Saha
Bought back in 2009 from World-famous club Manchester United, Louis
Saha is one perfect player to whom Everton owes their debts. He is a
French player, and currently plays as a forward for Everton. He had
enjoyed his previous years under the care of teams like United, Fulham
and Metz.
He has also played as striker for the sides, and is one of the most
popular players ever purchased by the club, due to his excellent goals
and astounding passes.
He is among the first eleven who play for the weekend matches for the
Toffees, and Manager Moyes blesses the day he bought the forward. As
Saha was purchased after a number of unfortunate injuries, he joined
Everton on an undisclosed fee payment and is enjoying his life at
Goodison Park.
Russell Martin
The Canaries go tweeting on the field, defended by Russell Martin.
That's right. He is their defender, and a trustworthy one he certainly
is. Bought from Peterborough United in January 2010, the defender is one
who is worthy of mention.
Highly professional at blocking goals and playing far on the field,
he has led the club to be the best side for fair football.
He has won many awards for the side, including the Norwich Best
Player of the 2010-11 season, due to his excellent defence.
He has signed a contract with Carrrow Road, Norwich City till 2014.
This extended contract has brought relief to Manager Alan Pardew, as he
always wished he would stay a bit more.
This player is indeed dynamic, as he plays quality football for the
side and is willing to give up anything just for his club.
Anthony Pilkington
A well known name to all those familiar with Manchester United Youth
Football-Anthony Pilkington.
That is a true statement. Pilkington had been trained by United as
well as his hometown side Blackburn Rovers in Youth football for both
sides. He joined Norwich City from Huddersfield Town just in July 2011,
making him a newcomer to t side. However, Norwich has uplifted the
23-year old's status, making him the Winger of the side.
He has signed a contract with the side for a lapse of three years, in
addition to an extra year in advance. He is now a most sought-after
player in the English Premier League, and the Canaries hope to have him
till time permits, for he is indeed a great winger for the side.
