Milch cows for poor families

One hundred twenty five milch cows saved from the abattoir would be handed over to 125 poor families to commemorate the first anniversary of President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second term in office.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday September 27 at 3 pm under the patronage of Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa at the Embilipitiya Kiri-ibbanaara Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi temple.

The ceremony will be organized by Dr. Venerable Omalpe Sobitha Thera who is the founder of the Bodhiraja foundation of Embilipitiya. Several Ministers and MPs will participate in the ceremony.
