New house for disabled mother of five

A disabled widow with five children who was living in a shanty has started a new life under a new permanent shelter donated by the Army troops serving at Ariyalai.

Sivakumar Ranjithamalar of Anantha Vadil Road, Ariyalai explained to the officers at the Civil Affairs Office of 512 Brigade about her misery living in an old house with five children whose father died of a heart attack.

Having considered her situation, the 7th Battalion of Gajaba Regiment (7 GR) soldiers built a house within a short period and handed it over to her on November 3.
