‘West trying to find room for Israel to breathe’
Iran: An Iranian lawmaker says the threats of a military attack on
his country seek to divert the world public opinion from the US woes and
to find Israel room to breathe.
Hossein Sobhaninia said on Monday that the West is trying to take the
limelight off issues such as the Islamic Awakening sweeping across the
Middle East and North of Africa, anti-corporatism protests over growing
inequality across the US, successive US failures and inhumane Western
policies in the region, Fars News Agency reported. He added that seeing
the new IAEA report coincide with the new report by the UN Special
Rapporteur on human rights in Iran, and allegations that Tehran was
involved in the plot to kill a Saudi diplomat in Washington all prove
the West’s desperation against the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian lawmaker said that such attempts are aim at providing
Israel and other allied dictators in the Middle East with room to
breathe.
Sobhaninia stated that the latest report released by the UN nuclear
agency on Iran’s nuclear program was unreal, and was written under the
influence of the United States and certain Western countries.
IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano’s latest report on Iran’s nuclear
activities was circulated among the 35 members of the Board of Governors
on November 8, ahead of the seasonal meeting of the board, which is
scheduled to be held in Vienna from November 17 to 18.
