Countrywide social service programmes

A series of countrywide social service programmes have been arranged from November 16 to 20 to mark the Presidents birthday and first anniversary of his second term of office.

The highlights are as follows according to date time and venue.

November 16 at 10 am:

Distribution of school books among schoolchildren at the Kamkaru Sevana, Attidiya road, Ratmalana.

November 17 at 6 pm:

All night Pirith Ceremony opposite the Fort Railway Station followed by a sanghika dana the following morning and.

November 17 at 6 pm:

A pahan pooja and distribution of fruit plants at Molagama Raja Maha Viharaya, Ibbagamuwa.

November 18 at 8 am:

A Shramadana and Bodhipooja organized by the Navalapitiya Hospital, Sri Lanka Nidahas Health Union and a blood donation campaign at the Kandy Hospital organized by the Sri Lanka Nidahas Health Union attached to the hospital.

November 19 at 9 am:

Blood donation campaign at the Pettah Bus Station organized by the Sri Lanka Nidahas Health Union.

November 20 at 9 am:

Donation of equipment worth Rs 150,000 to the Dekatana Namaluwa Viharaya and distribution of books among 500 Daham pasal students organized by the SLFP professionals organization.
