Superb century by Sajeeva Salgado

A splendid knock of 128 runs by Sajeeva Salgado in the second innings
of Thurstan College, was the highlight of the drawn First Eleven
encounter against Prince of Wales' College which was worked off at
Moratuwa.
Sajeeva Salgado who scored 101 runs in the first innings followed
this rare achievement with nine fours and five sixes and occupying the
crease for 205 minutes and faced 163 balls and thus became the fist ever
First Eleven cricketer to score twin centuries against Prince of Wales'
in the Cambrian 115 year cricket history and the second player to
notched up twin centuries in a match at Prince of Wales College grounds.
Cambrians resuming their overnight score of 89 for 9 were dismissed
for paltry 119 runs with Navindu Janeesha unbeaten on 53 runs including
five fours and had a match saving valuable partnership of 33 runs with
Thilan Nimesh who made 5 runs.
Milhaj Jaleel had a fine bowling spell of 6 for 46. Set to make 273
runs for a victory, Cambrians did much better to score 122 runs for no
loss with opener Ashen Mendis and Kusal Mendis were unbeaten on 69 and
50 runs respectively.
