SingHealth, Delmege partnership

Singapore’s largest integrated health care provider and leading international group, SingHealth which has two tertiary-level hospitals and five specialty centres, entered into a partnership with Delmege Medical (Pvt) Ltd, a part of the Delmege Forsyth Group.

In Sri Lanka to formalize the partnership were SingHealth Director Business Development Peter Tan, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Andrew Tan, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Prof. Boon Keng, Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon Dr. Benjamin Chua and Vijaya Srinidhi, all from the SinghHealth Group.


Consultant Orthopaedic Surgen Andrew Tan, SingHealth Business Development Director Vijaya Srinidi, Delmege Medical, Director Kavinda Makalande, Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Prof. Boon Keng, Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon Dr. Benjamin Chua and SingHealth Group Director Peter Tan.

Speaking at the launch, Delmege Medical Director Kavinda Makalande said, “we at Delmege Medical (Pvt) Ltd are proud to be associated with the SingHealth Group by extending and making available its services and facilities to the people of Sri Lanka. Those who wish to avail themselves of the healthcare facilities at SingHealth could now contact Delmege Medical and obtain medical treatment at any hospital within the SingHealth Group”.

The two tertiary level hospitals within the SingHealth Group are Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The Specialty Centres are the National Cancer Institute Singapore, National Heart Centre Singapore, National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore National Eye Centre and the National Dental Centre Singapore.

Makalande said that SingHealth has its own unique model of making available the required skills to develop postgraduate training and related academic programmes, in particular the exchange of medical experts to disseminate knowledge among the faculties between Sri Lanka and Singapore, which would contribute to increasing the levels of competencies in local healthcare.

“As a result of this collaboration with SingHealth, Delmege Medical would be fully committed to integrate and extend the services of SingHealth to those seeking medical attention in Singapore, thereby fulfilling our vision of “Lead the Nation’s effort towards achieving Healthcare Excellence as a Multi Modality Healthcare Solutions Provider,” said Makalande.

As its local representative Delmege Medical (Pvt) Ltd will offer required patient information about medical treatment at any SingHealth facility.
