Tamil language training for public servants

Parallel to the Deyata Kirula 2012 programme to be held in
Anuradhapura, 1,000 public servants are to be trained in Tamil language
under the guidance of National Languages and Social Integration Minister
Vasudeva Nanayakkara.
The minister said that being fluent in the main three languages being
used in Sri Lanka, is important for the country's development.
"A country's development lies on the communication skills of the
people in the society," he said. "The National Languagee and Social
Integration Ministry has been carrying out various programmes to uplift
the communication and language skills within the country," Nanayakkara
said.
"The Tamil language training course will be held from November 10 to
January 31 by the Institute of National Language Education and Training.
Ten programmes are to be conducted covering all Divisional Secretariats
in the Anuradhapura District. This will be held at the Divisional
Secretariat Offices in the District.
