Two Jana Sevana villages in Trincomalee

All measures are in place to establish two Jana Sevana villages in
the Trincomalee district. State officers and selected families in
Trincomalee will receive homes under this project, said Fisheries and
Aquatic Resources Development Deputy Minister Susantha Punchinilame.
The Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities
Ministry will build these homes according to a request made by the
Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Deputy Minister.
Accordingly, the Deputy Minister will lay the foundation stones for
these two villages in Werugan and Seru Nuwara areas on October 31. Sixty
homes will be built under this programme and each family will receive a
15 perch land. Families will receive housing loans of Rs.300,000 under
low interest rates.
