Korean job seekers: 9,998 pass proficiency test

A total of 9,998 out of 44,732 Sri Lankan job seekers in South Korea
have passed the language proficiency test.
This is a prerequisite to guarantee employment under the employment
permit system.
According to Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment sources, 145
candidates obtained the highest mark of 200 while 188 have obtained 196
marks.
Lankans seeking jobs in Korea should get over 124 marks at the
language proficiency test to qualify for the employment permit system.
The Korean language proficiency test was conducted in 10 centres in
Colombo.
A total of 34,734 candidates have failed the examination.
