Men with heroin arrested

Wellampitiya Police arrested three persons with 159 grams of heroin in their possession on Monday evening. Police also arrested a person at Kolonnawa with 102 grams of heroin in his possession on Monday. The suspect was a resident of Ranagala Mawatha, Borella.

Another group of Police found 57 grams of heroin in possession of two persons when Police checked a three-wheeler. One suspect, a resident of Alawwala, Ranwala possessed 52 grams in his possession and the other suspect, a resident of Enderamulla, Wattala had five grams of heroin in his possession.

The suspects were to be produced before the Hulftsdorp Magistrate yesterday. Wellampitiya Police are conducting investigations.
