Men with heroin arrested
Wellampitiya Police arrested three persons with
159 grams of heroin in their possession on Monday evening. Police
also arrested a person at Kolonnawa with 102 grams of heroin in his
possession on Monday. The suspect was a resident of Ranagala Mawatha,
Borella.

Scherger riot; injured Lankan stable
Asylum seeker advocates say detainees at an
immigration detention centre on far north Queensland’s Cape York
want to pursue charges against a guard after a weekend riot. A Sri
Lankan asylum seeker is in a stable condition at the Cairns Base
Hospital.
