Hayleys launches Fujifilm FinePix HS20 EXR advanced super zoom camera

The Fujifilm FinePix HS20 EXR

Record-breaking, innovative, versatile; the new Fujifilm FinePix HS20 is all this and so much more. Replacing the multiple award-winning FinePix HS10, is the latest addition to the range of Fujifilm bridge cameras representing the perfect picture taking solution for photographers who want the specification and picture quality of an SLR without the heavy camera bag and huge dent in their bank balance.

With a class-leading feature set that includes a brand new EXR CMOS sensor, high speed continuous shooting capability, improved user interface, versatile video functions, 30x zoom lens and a 16 megapixel resolution, the HS20 sets new standards in bridge camera functionality and performance.

This new super-zoom digital compact camera which is designed to look and handle like a DSLR, has a 30x zoom lens which covers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-720mm and also features mechanical image stabilization and twist-barrel manual zoom and focusing controls. This camera has been designed as a do it all, all in one solution for the serious photo enthusiast.

The camera’s versatile lens offers a focal range starting at an ultra-wide 24mm and finishing at an ultra-telephoto 720mm, which, would take at least two super-zoom DSLR lenses to offer similar reach.

This digital camera is based on a BSI-CMOS sensor that has been upgraded to 16 megapixels and enhanced with Fuji’s unique EXR technology. This lets it keep high-speed features while allowing triple-mode operation to capture high-resolution, high dynamic-range or low noise images. This unique lens allows the handler to cover a range of photographic subjects like no other. The ultra-wide 24mm lens offering perfection for architecture, landscapes, indoor shots and monuments, while at the other extreme, a reach of 720mm makes it suitable for wildlife and even birding.

The new HS20 takes pride of place in the new range of Fujifilm digital cameras brought down and distributed island wide by Hayleys Consumer products limited a subsidiary company of Hayleys PLC. The company’s aim is to make photography and imaging an affordable and freely available pastime for Sri Lankan’s who travel.
