Marikar (65) puts Zahira in command

Bashith Marikar hit a quick knock of 65 to put Zahira College in a commanding position against Revata Vidyalaya, Balapitiya on the first day of their under-19 division I inter-schools match played at Maradana yesterday. Match was started at 2.00p.m. but Zahira declared at 188 for 9 in 29 overs.

Shehan Manuran grabbed 4 for 51 while Dishan de Soyza collected 3 for 38.

Revatha Vidyalaya were 32 for 3 at close.
