Nutritious food, medical centres for Nagadeepa

The Indigenous Medicine Ministry has taken measures to establish a
nutritious food centre and a indigenous medical centre in Nagadeepa to
coincide with World Food Day which fell on October 16.
The foundation stones for the above constructions were laid by the
Indigenous Medicine Minister Salinda Dissanayake on October 15.
The nutritious food centre and the indigenous medical centre are to
be built with the aim of providing healthy food and essential medical
services to residents of Nagadeepa, members of the Security Forces based
in Nagadeepa and to tourists.
These constructions are to be done under the guidance of Nagadeepa
Viharaya Chief Incumbent Ven. Nawadagala Padumakaththissa Nayaka Thera.
The minister also hopes to establish a another nutritious centre and a
indigenous medical centre in the Delft islands.
Indigenous Medicine Deputy Minister Pandu Bandaranaike,Ministry
Secretary Bandula Dahanayake and several politicians in the Jaffna
district participated on the occasion. |
