Central Province have it easy

Central Province scored an easy 10 wicket win over Western Province South outer in their Sri Lanka Cricket’s Under 17 limited over cricket tournament match played at Pallekele Stadium yesterday.

Western Province South outer batting first were dismissed for 105 in 33 overs. Left arm spinner from Trinity College Lakshan Jayasinghe returned the fine figures of 3 for 8 in 10 overs and seven of them were maidens which is a remarkable spell of bowling.

Western Province South outer: 105 all out in 33 overs (Tharaka Premachandra 33, I Wijenaike 12, Kasun Thenuwara 18, D Dananjaya 11, S Udayanga 11, Lakshan Jayasinghe 3 for 8, Rajitha Jayatunga 2 for 9).

Central Province: 108 for no loss in 13.3 overs (Bhaghya Palihawadana 53 n.o, Lakshitha Dassanayake 50 n.o).
