Navy recovers stock of Gelignite

Naval troops attached to SLNS Thammanna, the Thalaimannar Navy Base of the North Central Naval Command have recovered a stock of Gelignite gel and safety fuses in Pallemunei on September 23.

The Navy during its operation had recovered Gelignite gel concealed in 30 plastic cases and a safety fuse roll 66 inches in length in an abandoned house.

It is believed that this Gelignite was used for illegal fishing activities.
