Two soldiers injured in explosion

Military Spokesman Brig. Nihal Hapuarachchi explained that the explosion at the Weerawila Army camp had taken place at the ammunition dump where ammunition is being stored and not in the armoury. He added that two soldiers were reported injured.

The injured were admitted to the Weerawila hospital, he said.

The area where the explosion took place is being investigated as there were a series of small explosions after the main explosion.

The cause for the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
