MARKSS Healthcare opens warehousing complex in Galle

MARKSS Healthcare (MARKSS HLC) one of the fastest growing
pharmaceutical companies in Sri Lanka, is in the process of establishing
an islandwide regional distribution hubs and warehousing complexes for
their pharmaceutical, neutraceutical items, medical equipment, devices
and utensils.
This new approach of MARKSS was launched by opening company’s very
first Medical Regional Distribution Centre in the city of Galle under
the patronage of Deputy Speaker Chandima Weerakkody recently.
The regional centers are designed to ensure many elements of supply
chain to the customer. It serves to ensure the quality of drugs right to
the customer which aids MARKSS’s vision in attaining the state of “the
most admired pharmaceuticals company in Sri Lanka”. by this venture,
MARKSS will have control of its distribution to the point of the
chemist. In addition the regional hub is capable in handling orders
rapidly with higher degree of efficiency.
According to a company spokesperson, the company plans to introduce a
number of Regional Distribution Centers throughout the country further
strengthening its distribution channels.
MARKSS HLC Chairman and Managing Director Rajiv Nanayakkara
elaborating on the Regional Distribution centre strategy said, “We are
