East Expo commences in Trinco

A five day East Expo 2011 exhibition commenced last Friday in Trincomalee and will be concluded tomorrow. The East Expo 2011 exhibition is organized by the Eastern Province Agriculture, Animal Production and Development, Industries Development Fisheries Ministry.

Exhibition Secretariat Director General Dr. M. Hilmi told Daily News Business that the exhibition was very successful with more than 4,000 people visiting the exhibition so far. The exhibition is focusing on agriculture, construction, maritime, agro machinery, motor and other sectors.

The objective of the exhibition is to improve the standard of life of the people in the Eastern Province displaying opportunities to people involved in these sectors. Modern technology, machinery and equipment is displayed at the event which would help them to uplift their livelihoods, he said.
