Schoolboys in alleged theft released

Four schoolboys arrested for the alleged theft of stationery, food items, groceries, textiles, mobile phones, crop etc from houses, shops and cultivated land by the Ingiriya Police Crime Investigation Unit were released by Horana magistrate Mahinda Ranasinghe. The magistrate also advised the boys’ parents.

The magistrate also advised the Probation Centre to be vigilant about the students’ studies and behaviour and report the progress to court.

The suspects aged between 8-13 are residents of Ingiriya area.
